A farmer's pride

He is a man known as the manifestation of Indian ethnicity. His cracked feet is the testimony to the fact that he lives a rough life.Wrinkles on his face and dark circles that surround his eyes show how restlessly he works. The smile on his face and the warmth of his heart show how satisfied he is. He is farmer , he is a son of the soil.

His needs are simple yet he works day and night throughout the year to make the ends meet.Let it be the scorching heat or the drops of sweat that follow , be it pouring rain or the tumbling ice cubes that'd hit him and the crops. It isn't a battle against nature , it is an adaptation to its beauty and vulnerabilities that come along.

His house has a place for the animals to live , even though his living place is just a room. His farm is the passion of his heart. He lives in the charm of the nature and teaches his children empathy. He is religious in nature , better put he is religious towards nature. He names every sapling he plants and every animal he ever brings home . Hey buffalo ! that's what we call each other , but his buffalo has a name and is a part of the family.

He doesn't earn much , they say ! How ignorant of them , they only measure wealth in terms of money. They do not know the eternal happiness of harvesting a successful crop , they do not know about a warm welcome from kids at the dawn , how do they not know that the kids are not only his children but also his cattle.

He takes pride in his farm, he takes pride in his work . Socially knit families of his village define him. His beautiful house represents his compassion. He takes pride in living life and giving life. That's the pride that keeps the human kind going.
