Have you ever thought of why some people have a higher /lower self-esteem than others?
Have you ever come across a statement like 'abey! tu badal gayi h .You are behaving like ...' ?
Do you tend to change your opinions rapidly ?
Does mere presence of other people lead to feelings of discomfort and tension at times ?
Does the feeling of not knowing what others think of you lead to self-doubt and insecurity ?
Chill dude .. that's very common,it's just not you and me ,almost everyone across the world feels the same. This concept is technically called "The Looking-Glass Self".We usually tend to imagine how we appear to others, estimate their judgement about us and develop a self image via reflection . We see us in a way people wish to see us.
All of this, is a direct implication of the fact that a person's self grows out of person's social interactions. In fact how we see ourselves doesn't come out of what we actually are ,but rather from impressions of how others perceive us.
“I imagine your mind, and especially what your mind thinks about my mind, and what your mind thinks about what my mind thinks about your mind.” Charles Horton Cooley.
So how can we, or anyone else, know who we really are? Can you be sure of the “real you”, separated from all the stuff in the outside social world?

Everyone of us desire to be liked and be appreciated for our talents or personality. But, if we tend to have a weak self-image , if we believe in other's opinion than our own,we end up living our lives in accordance to other peoples´ expectations. It is ironic that sometimes, others evaluations mean more to us than our own. This can be simply put, as if we don't respect ourselves and are ready to live our lives on someone else's decisions.
It is necessary to counter the passive part of our individual that depends heavily on the social world for building self-image.We should work on developing a self-image that is more based on our own evaluations rather than how we believe others look at us. With this one act , not being able to start a conversation - chuck , feeling low imagining what others think - chuck , stage fear -chuck and what else.... ohh over weight/under weight problems - chuck :p :p
stop worrying and thinking too much .. time to love yourself :D
